any conservatory. A strong but lightweight roof is an
essential requirement as it holds the entire structure
together. As well as being watertight, it has to withstand
heavy snowfalls in winter and strong sunlight in summer
in order to withstand the worst of the British weather
for many years to come whilst still looking good.

Design & High Performance
Polytec 500 is a unique 'Snap-Fit' system which is quick
and simple to install, specifically designed for low pitch
conservatories and to retain its strength and slimline
good looks. It is a unique polycarbonate roofing system
incorporating high performance polycarbonate glazing panels
co-extruded with an ultra-violet layer which forms a barrier
against UV radiation and protects against the sun.
Choice
of Colour
Polytec 500 is the only low pitch roofing system which
offes a choice of panel colour with ranging light transmissions
enabling you to create your own special environment and
pleasing aesthetics inside your conservatory. The extensive
choice of colours are clear, bronze or opal finish as
well as the heat reflective 'HEATSHIELD' option. Heatshield
can reduce solar energy transmission by up to 35% in hot
sunny weather with the added advantage of maintaining
excellent light transmission when the weather is overcast
and cloudy. It is also possible to install internal roof
blinds(if necessary) with polycarbonate roof glazing panels.
Durability
& Strength
Polytec 500 polycarbonate panels benefit from one of the
toughest and safest materials available which coupled
with the specially designed 6 wall structure, offer excellent
thermal insulation properties and one of the lowest 'U'
values for systems of this kind. Even better than sealed
triple glazed glass units. The strength and longevity
of the all aluminium glazing system easily spans up to
4m projection and is so strong it is able to provide a
safe maintenance platform(with boards) for house repairs
and as a means of escape.
Attractive
Appearance
The system incorporates a polycarbonate glazing bar undercladding
profile which is available in the same choice of colours
as the panels. This obscures the sight of the glazing
bar and gives a uniform colour over the whole internal
ceiling, which is unique to the system.
The
special finish of the co-extruded glazing panels offer
relaxing diffused light while maintaining a high degree
of privacy and this minimises the sight of any external
surface debris.
Ease
of Installation
The simple design and snap-fit system makes the roof quick
and easy to install. The roof pitch is set at 2.5 degrees
which means it can be installed on virtually any type
of property utilising the advantages of its modular construction.
The factory prepared modular system is available in various
projections and widths and can be simply trimmed to exact
length or width as required on site.
A
range of accessories are available to compliment the system
including a SOLAR POWERED TURBO ROOF VENTILATOR specifically
designed to fit the Polytec 500 panel and provide additional
ventilation in your consrvatory.
